Does anyone know which networks lock their pay as you go phones to the network? I know O2 didn't used to and I know that T-Mobile do. I'm looking to buy a Blackberry 9300 but sim free seems more expensive than PAYG so I could buy a PAYG and stick my T-Mobile contract sim in it. Of course this means I could get a T-Mobile PAYG but just wondering if there's any other network with a better deal.

Also has anyone had any bad experiences with this phone? I'm looking to move away from touch screen phone (Motorola Defy running Android) primarily for battery life reasons. Also I'll be using Gmail and Google calendar.

Cheers

I visited a mysterious asian gentleman at the mobile phone bizarre and for a very small amount of money he unlocked the phone to other networks.

This one bizarre enough for you?

Long story, not yet finished, so don't ask. Just don't go anywhere near Tesco for it. Don't - ever.

All I will say - it'd be worth checking around if it's a general problem that the charger USB comes adrift from the phone. If it is, be aware that it doesn't have external charging points like many other phones, to allow you to use a docking station.
