The shouting bit was because he openly admitted he was hard of hearing and asked me to speak louder. As for hanging up, I smelled a rat (which as it turns out was not there), that's all. ☺️

A couple of days ago we were stopped in the street by a well-dressed, well-spoken, elderly fellow. He was terribly apologetic, asking us to tell him what day of the week it was. We told him. He thanked us profusely and walked off. I'm pretty certain it wasn't a scam.

Er, that might've been me. 🧐 Please don't take offence as I asked someone the other day what year it was, thinking it might be 2003.
