I've decided i need new shoes, SPD shoes. Which shop in the London or Surrey area has the best selection in your opinion please?

No brand preference and i'm not sure of width just want to go somewhere and try loads on. Will buy from there if i find a pair that feel comfortable.

You'll need to shop around, Wimbledon and Kingston should give you a good range. Or head to Evans and cycle surgery at spitalfields

Is the Spitalfields one particularly big? I'll be near a different cycle surgery tomorrow but it's not massive.

Yeah it's a decent size with Evans nearby. Otherwise you've Evans at Mortimer street and cycle surgery at Victoria

Might be able to pop into the Victoria branch tomorrow too, the better half works close by and will want to cycle past i'm sure.

Specialized store in covent garden and giant near barbican so not too far from spitalfields on bike

I've been in the giant store and wasn't immediately struck by their shoe range to be honest although the specialized store in Covent Garden i hadn't thought of, i know the one in Kingston has a good range although only one brand obviously. Probably only got time for two or three shops tomorrow but who i'm sure i'll be able check out a few next weekend.

Evans' West End store is pretty massive and has loads of stock. I would try that first.

I was in Evans Mortimer Street on Thursday, hoping for a wide selection of helmet brands. I was very disappointed. Noticed only a very small selection of shoes too. Cycle Surgery nearby no better. You will just have to trawl around all the bike shops you can find in the hope that they are not tied to justone or two brands as most seem to be.

Or buy online, couple of sizes from Wiggle or CRC and back and forth to return

Otherwise, Evans have more choice online and will price match. Get delivered to store, try on return if no good

Depends on your flexibility using credit cards, the Evans route is quicker as you can process the refund asap

The CS near Evans is tiny and not open on a Sunday IIRC

You could try On Your Bike by Southwark Cathedral - if you can find it, a right pain with a bike!
