You are bound to meet a less than perfect one every once in a while but , by and large, I think they are extremely considerate towards cyclists. I try and thank them when they are.
Generally I have no problem with buses except for some total idiocy in east London this year - Leyton and Romford Road spring to mind. Where does the 25 go?most are OK except the 25. all the drivers on that route are nutcases. no matter what time of day it is they cut you up, close pass, left hook. terrible
i have started a new commute to work in the last month in London and i have noticed how bus drivers pull out from their bus stops in front of you even when you are overtaking them and show you no respect whatsoever . On my old commute i did not have much contact with buses
Your thoughts on the subject please
I agree on the whole. My visit to First Bus's training depot was a real eye opener. Oh, and so far I haven't had a problem with a First Bus since.I reckon bus drivers are TEH AWESOMES, for the most part, and far better than the average motorist. It's rare I have a problem with a piece of bus driving, most of the time I'm impressed by them.

If the bus is indicating, ease off a bit and let them go. Obviously if they pull out right on top of you then something needs to be done, make sure you're visible in their mirrors and maybe a few polite words to them or TfL might help. Bus drivers are by in large fantastic.
Good point
But why is it always bus drivers who do it
