Look away if you dont like wasps

When sitting outside a French restaurant, the waiter, noticing we were being bothered by wasps, placed a small dish of cloves on our table. She said it would repel them. It did.

We have tried it since without success as there never seem to be any wasps around to repel.

Although, to be brutally logical, of a normal wasp can already kill you, once of those big ones couldn't actually be worse!

Like all those useless TVs, phones, computers etc. Oh, hang on, my TV, phones, computers, tablet, guitars, hifi ... were all made in China and they have been 100% reliable. Clearly the exceptions that prove the rule!

Indeed I am playing on a reputation that is probably years out of date. But then if I hadn't, I think it may have ruined the comic effect just ever so slightly!

What strikes me is that at one time, most of the former peasants working in the Chinese factories making all that stuff probably didn't even know what half of it was! I'm sure that will have changed now.

I'd be interested to see what the poorly translated accompanying instruction manual has to say about them...

"Warning informations. Please to get bee the not you sting much wonderfully.". Or words to that effect...
