So she has been relying on photographs of herself to see what she looks like rather than just looking in a mirror?

(And I had never heard of her either.)

As for Photoshopping ... that has been going on for years (I don't like it, but it isn't news). What is new to me is that a similar thing is being done to video. I was watching some music videos the other day and realised that many of the female singers 'd had the video equivalent of Photoshopping done to them. They looked like 3D-rendered avatars rather than people.

It has been many decades since we could believe what we see in photographs, but now we can't trust moving images either!

Even I have heard of her - she's an American actor who stars in and created a programme called "Girls" which is, by all accounts, extremely good if you're in its demographic. As well as being a rare example of a female-led comedy where the comedy isn't in her dizziness.

And despite what @Arrowfoot thinks, both Dunham and the Spanish magazine come out of the interchange well, and between them they highlight an important point about body image. Either Dunham's self-image is so screwed-up that she doesn't have a clear picture of what she looks like, or her "people" have not done her the courtesy of letting her sign off on a photo.

Totally agree. And would add that she comes in for an unfair amount of flack. Girls represents her life and experiences, it wouldn't be as authentic and relatable if it told a different story.

Could you suggest a viewpoint that I should have about an actor that I've never heard of, who starred in a series that I've never watched, whose 2012 photograph in a magazine that isn't stocked by my newsagent and which reappeared on a foreign magazine's cover whose circulation doesn't appear to extend to Leeds, because I'm struggling to come up with one.
