Zoons Court roundabout just east of Gloucester has a protected lane for drivers heading straight across. Cars can use the lane to avoid having to give way at the roundabout. Problem is the lane forces the driver to take an extended arch around the roundabout slowing the driver down. Plus every time I've driven it traffic has been light and so always a lot quicker to drive the roundabout as normal and avoid the protected lane.
