This could be true. Kent is not as dry as Suffolk, which counts as "semi-arid" but it is a lot less wet than points west and northwest! Haverfordwest must be almost as wet as Ayrshire. Forecast on BBC just now, apparently it was the wettest October in Scotland since 1954. Last winter the wettest ever. It's all my fault for buying studded ice tyres 2 winters ago. Never even had to fit them last winter!
