Funny I have never minded getting wet ,only if I can get dry again quick, but never have the excitement of starting a ride in the rain,Im not a great fan of riding in my water proof jacket, even with the vents its boil in the bag!:rain:

The rain lovers will be happy with the weather forecast for the next seven days then, especially if you are in the west of the UK.
Rain, rain, and more rain, with a lot of wind thrown in.
I have a theory that most of those who don't mind the rain probably live in the south east, where you don't get pummelled with the stuff day after day for months on end.
This could be true. Kent is not as dry as Suffolk, which counts as "semi-arid" but it is a lot less wet than points west and northwest! We do get downpours but probably not as often.

There is rain and there is RAIN!!! I don't mind rain ...

Ordinary rain is not too heavy, is warmish, and doesn't last too long. RAIN!!! is heavy, freezing, goes on and on, and is potentially dangerous - I do my best to avoid that. I have had one or two horrendous experiences when caught out by freak mid-summer storms, when wearing only light summer cycling kit. It is scary how quickly you can go from sweaty to near-hypothermic! :cold::eek:

Haverfordwest must be almost as wet as Ayrshire. Forecast on BBC just now, apparently it was the wettest October in Scotland since 1954. Last winter the wettest ever. It's all my fault for buying studded ice tyres 2 winters ago. Never even had to fit them last winter!

Don't really mind the rain - keeps you cool and I don't really mind it in the morning. What I do mind though, is putting soggy clothes on in the evening, but once they're on, it's all aight ^_^
Croydon, eh? You don't know what REAL rain is!

Gale force winds, torrential downpours and freezing cold and as for the winter!

WHAT?!?! A bit of water is nothing to a Croydoner - we're used to dodging knives & bullets!! :becool:
Now that's where we are at an advantage. Even the wee lowlife scrotes won't venture out, and if they do they can't see through the rain to get a good shot! It's a true saying that the rain is the best Polis you can get ^_^.
