My wife asked if I'd ever consider moving back out into the sticks, and my first thought was that it would be nice to have a longer commute!

Distance from house to work place shouldn't limit your commuting distance. My direct to work commute is 5 miles, but did 20 each way last week and had been doing 15 each way during December.

Back to the original question, I play darts on a dinner time, does that count as exercise?

I would say a big yes

In summer I sometimes go for a weather-dependent lunchtime walk or cycle ride for half an hour around the area where I work but I find it harder in winter. I'm seriously thinking about getting an exercise bike - one of the folding designs - for home so that on days when I've not had what I think is much exercise I can do half an hour 'at the drop of a hat' while watching a bit of tv in the back room. I've had one before, but it wasn't a folding one and took up too much space in our little house.

Yep, gym at work every day for a quick 3 exercise upper body superset, which rotates daily. mainly working individual muscles that don't get worked so thoroughly during my 'lifting training. I do this so I stay more looking like my namesake, rather than a powerlifting meathead like Hafthor Bjornsson.

I'm looking forward to a long hot summer cleaning the car and tending the garden top less, give the local chicks some eye candy ;)

During this time I regard it as my duty to grunt a lot, bang the weights around, and generally do my best to pith off anyone in there for cardio work, even more so if my lifting buddies Ozzy, Rocky and The Swede are in there. I also waltz in, and turn the TV to listen to Kerrang Radio. When moving heavy metal you need some aural motivation, and Olly Murs just don't cut it.

Just wait till the kids get older, then they won't go to bed at a reasonable time, and they won't get up in the morning - that's my 12 year old. Ended up late as I had to supervise him getting ready this morning. Gets up, you think he's getting ready, nope, back in bed.

I'd get round to extending the commute - ride a few miles the wrong way, or indeed find a nice loop route.

Consider daytime a decent rest-time for the legs. However, I'm currently more-or-less next to Regent's Park. A cycling colleague suggested a couple of laps at lunch sometime- she rides a fixed and is of similar size to myself. Chatted about a lunchtime bike swop for my roadie! Always wanted a proper go on a fixed...

I much prefer NX-74205 :becool:

i did randomly try on my TNG uniform last night and noticed it was dirty so put it in the wash lol.

when it warms up i'll be out at lunch again on the bike. 4-5 miles with 40+ MPH sections and 4-500 ft of climbing

I used to wear a TNG uniform on stage, and on one album cover: mock-cock-spock-shock-rock-artwork-zeeb-001.jpg
