our PSI swore by them , as result we consumed buckets of them on the Cambrian marches , they are actually lighter than C rations and just as filling and energy packeted.

A record which stood less than a week and has since been beaten 6 times by other riders

Bread and jam! The fuel of an ex champ.

No , he is still a champion , he still holds a world record.
just because the records been subsequently beaten doesn't lessen his achievement.
he's not a lance Armstrong(unless jam becomes a band substance)
the window of physical excellence is very small for most athletes.

Every Wednesday lunch time for the last 3 weeks i've been running 3.5 miles. As from next week i'll be doing tuesday and thursday.
Finding it too hard to run in the evenings......No time.

Nip out today for a quick spin at lunchtime (about 12 miles), one direction I was spinning out and freewheeling the SS on the flat at around 29mph, my overall average was 16.2mph that tells you what speed I was doin the otherway

The sun is splitting a cloudless sky here :sun: so I couldn't resist popping out for a wee ride. There was quite a bit of congestion on the St John's Road/ The Vineyard but I just cruised by it down the middle of the lane and then left it behind when I headed left into the Fengate and then the 2 and 1/4 miles along the cyclepath I found this morning. Even when that ended there was barely a car until I got to Oxney Road making for a very pleasant ride. I then nipped back through town (still the traffic was relatively light ) back to work
