Has anyone noticed how narrow the non-Olympic lane is in places going West along the Embankment? I came out of the Blackfriars tunnel this morning and noticed the car in front took up the whole width of the lane. What is going to happen when the driver of a car or large vehicle gets impatient and wants to overtake but doesn't want to risk a fine by going into the Olympic lane to make a safe overtake? Just madness!

The poor mans lane was blocked by coaches, we could see about a foot of it from temple to westminster bridge. Only way was to partially cross into the lmpic lane

I had a look at it as I cycled in thismorning.
I think it is a platform will be used for shots of the olympic park and stadium itself, nit just the horses.
You will get fantastic shots of fireworks over the stadium at the opening / closing ceremony from that platform.
Not sure if it's been posted elsewhere btu it looks like if you cycle in London, you're screwed!...

Not that I live in London but... I don't see it. A bike can go anywhere a car can go, and with the amount of bikes in London, control and regulation of Olympic Lanes in relation to bikes using them will be neigh on impossible.
Yes cyclist will be affected when roads are completely closed and barriered off as in the picture, but I bet you'll find that if a road is open to cars, bikes will be on it. They'll probably get so congested that it'll end up looking like some twisted version of an alleycat race too!
It will be interesting to see what happens. I'm still planning on commuting to work during the Olympics, and some of the main routes have cycle lines in them anyway (e.g. along the Embankment). It wouldn't surprise me to see cyclists taking advantage of the Olympic lanes - let's call it filtering down the outside of the lane taking normal traffic - and as long as they're not holding anyone up (highly unlikely given traffic lights) I doubt it's going to be a big deal.
