Van in for its MOT Monday, so plade your bets.

4 years old, 5300 miles, FSH. Everything I can check has been checked.

Fortunately camper vans are tested "as presented", regardless of taxation class, so it has a Class 4 yesterday the same as a car.

That should fly through, our 9 year old Skoda Citigo with 22000 miles just went through without any advisories. A slightly different story to the bloody Mini last year!

My Skoda the week after next...

Rusty but garage says it's ok.

Rear brakes done.
Fronts possibly
suspension possible.

If it comes in a £400 I'll be happy as I've already spent £600.

Yeah, cant see why it would fail but you never know. It was up in the air eedently with a VW transporter indy specialist, a real enthusiast, to have the suspension upgraded and I'm sure he'd have mentioned even the slightest opportunity to make money fixing something,

I'll take it for a good spin prior to the test, grt it nice and hot for the emissions test and get the brakes clean.

Then once it passes, if I'm up to it, I need to spend some quality time doing a service and lanoguarding the underside ready for winter.

Need to jack mine up and finish off the lanoguarding. Just want to get the front subframe. The rear was easy as there is tonnes of room under the van and the suspension is the modern multi link stuff, so no torsion beam - just acres of space. I've even sprayed the bottom of the 'floor'. The mid section of the van is occupied by the fuel tank, ad-blue, the main exhaust baffles (the exit is mid van in the middle, not at the rear) and the additional diesel heater.

Full service and MOT due end October - will double check what's in the 'service' plan and check what they will be doing and maybe add anything else as the van will be four and due a major service.
