The price of tubes these days who still uses a puncture repair kit

Me - why waste something that still perfectly fine, some of my inner tubes are still the original ones that came with the bikes when I bought them.

Anyone who throws away perfectly good tubes that could easily be fixed is a scoundrel, a blackguard and a polar bear assassin. Also, nine times out of ten I bet I can fix a puncture faster than you can change a tube. Also, even if tubes are cheap, they're not free. Can't you find better uses for the money? You'd only have to fix two or three punctures and you could afford to buy a top puncture repair outfit, with a cracking tin!

The tin looks good but why spend ten quid for some patches when you can get these from Wiggle for £1.99

I not only repair tubes, when they are past repairing, I find other uses for them!
My latest is to cut them up and use them on the bases of a hand carved chess set I'm making instead of buying green felt...yup, I'm tight!
