Panic buyers cleared the shelves of the rice that I was going to buy from the local supermarkets so I went down to the local wholefood shop instead. They have some nice people working there. They had a big bin of organic long grain brown rice and a collection of recycled glass containers to use. I found a big glass jar with a sealed lid and filled that with 3/4 kg of rice for £2.40. I eat big portions but that will still work out at less than 50p a meal. I will probably just get my rice there in future even when the panic buying stops.

Unlikely to get COVID-19 from a toilet seat. However there are a bunch of very nasty germs likely to cause vomiting and diarrhoea that like to hang around backsides and hence toilet seats.
