Why is Rebecca(she's back) now five miles away from all of us, at the same time?
A man is pushing his car along the road when he comes to a hotel. He shouts, "I'm bankrupt!" Why?
Which weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of bricks?

How did you get 96 cm?I have this but it seems too easy so there's probably a naughty landmine in the question....
They weigh the same (one pound).Which weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of bricks?

But how does she manage to be the same distance from everybody at the same time?Because no-one likes her and everyone gives her a wide berth.
Working in reverse:How did you get 96 cm?
Ah - I stopped at 2 iterations and had a width of 1cm, instead of one-thirdWorking in reverse:
For Width
For Length
- 9 / 3 = 3 (9 is the original width given)
- 3 / 3 = 1
- 1 / 3 = 1/3
- 4 / 1/3 = 12 (4 is the final area given so 4 divided by a third is the final length)
- 12 x 2 = 24
- 24 x 2 = 48
- 48 x 2 = 96

This is how I did it :
Initial Surface Area SA0 = len x wid
After one wish Surface Area SA1 = len/2 x wid/3 = (len x wid)/6
After two wishes SA2 = len/4 x wid/9 = (len x wid)/36
After three wishes SA3 = len/8 x wid/27 = (len x wid)/216
Therefore we can say SA3 = SA0/216
But, we know SA3 is 4, so 4 x 216 = SA0 => SA0 = 864, but we know wid = 9, therefore length = 864/9 = 96cm
