Wow I keep looking at the Masi Giramando 700c 2018

Maybe I could buy my 1st Touring Bicycle with Disc Brakes?

Anyone using the Masi Giramondo 700c Disc 2018 Touring Bike?

Feedback is helpful and Appreciated. thanks again

I know that the Disc Brakes mechanical have more Stopping power then the
V-Brakes on my Surly LHT 26 52cm 2008 Touring Bicycle. And I would keep my Surly LHT 26 52cm 2008 Touring Bicycle for Stealth Bicycle Camping Trips in Southern California
I am thinking about the Masi Giramando 700c 2018 for my Bicycle Touring Trips in the USA 1299.99+California Tax=$1426.74 and it is cheaper to buy a Touring Bicycle then from Frameset 700X40c 32hole spokes and I would replace with 36hole spokes, 36hole Rims and Sun-Ringle Rhyno lites 700c Rims
and Shimano Deore HB-M525A Front Hub, Shimano HU-M525A Rear Hub 6-bolt
$1299.99 with racks
I am working on the Disc Brakes: Research
my question is which Disc brakes will be easier to work on when Bicycle Touring?
Avid BB7S mtn Disc Brakes mechanical vs Hayes MX expert Disc Brake mechanical
Long Pull Brakes and I was told go with Avid BB7S Disc Brakes mechanical Long pull and Tektro V-Brakes Drop Levers

It is not fun trying to look for bike parts 10 speed on-line bike shops with Mountain vs Trekking bike parts

I know that I have said "I don't know if I am going to Disc Brakes for Bicycle Touring"
https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/i...rakes-for-bicycle-touring.233489/post-5233608

I know that Disc Brakes have more stopping power over V-Brakes under
Fully-Loaded Touring Bicycle

I have been thinking about Disc Brakes since 11-2008 when I got my Surly LHT
26in 52cm 2008. but I was looking at the Kona Sutra

I will keep my Surly LHT 26in 52cm 2008 Touring Bicycle for Stealth Bicycle Camping/Bicycle Touring

I know nothing about the Masi Giramondo as they don’t look to be available here in the U.K. All I can say is that it is a great looking bike and sounds good value for money.

Yes it is a great price for the Masi Giramondo 700c 2018 and The Surly Troll is about $1700.00 in the USA

Other than the braking, how is the Masi an improvement on the Surly? Is it worth spending the money for those improvements.

Is it much better than just replacing your current fork with some new Surly disc forks, new front wheel, mech front brake and cables?

As a small point if you are going to run mechanical brakes on the Masi, you'll want to upgrade the cable housing to compressionless cables.

I think that I would buy a Surly Disc Trucker Frameset 26in 52cm 2018/2019
