Sorry I can't add anything to help but ouch, that's nasty!

At least the stuff they'll find hardest to shift is the priceless stuff so hopefully there's a chance of recovering those.

Good Luck

Simply awful news.

Seems odd to me. It sounds like they went to a bit of trouble to get their hands on quite distinctive but old (no disrespects!) bikes. Old bikes just look like old bikes to most folk. There's only significance to those that care about such things. So unless they somehow thought they were worth shed loads, I can't really get my head around it. A smash and grab on Evans', I could understand, but this just seems weird to me! Unless one of those "old bikes' is actually worth a good few quid!

The Cripper is worth quite a bit but they also stole loads of road/mountain/jump/folding bikes.

There was plenty of other stuff they left behind - like a boxed Boardman road bike.

Sorry to read about this HD I hope the police are doing thier utmost to recover the stolen items. The only thing that worrys me is that the bicycles that are not fenced, particularly the older or unusual ones, wil be sold as scrap for a few quid and broken up. Sorry to be such a harbinger of doom I hope you get everything back safe and sound. HG.

So someone somewhere has a lock up/van full of (traceable?) bikes they are going to want/need to shift slowly and carefully. You'd think (naively?) that they've just got to be pretty darn easy to find eventually...

Has Mickle got a good alibi?

Sorry to hear this Hilldodger, fingers crossed for getting the important stuff back.

Sad times Roger.

There are a couple of (decent) guys at work who always know what is available on the Monsell and Saff estates, I'll ask just in case.

I am truly sorry to hear of this HD. The loss of the bikes is one thing, but the loss of your book draft is terrible. Let's hope that the scrotes involved know not what they nicked and get caught fencing. Would it be worth letting the forum have an inventory of missing gear?

Keep us appraised.

It may take two or 3 years, but eventually an item will come upon E-bay or Gum tree.
Set up the search engine for old tricycles and sit back and wait.

A mate got back a landrover 3 years after the theft by keeping an eye on the small ads
