So you are OK with him-
Shouting all the time.
Emphasising a random word OUT of every sentence when he speaks.
Still doing the silly thing from the 80s commercial stations on the radio where you pretend to smile as you talk so it all sounds so much fun.
Talking about himself all the time.
Having endless side kicks around him and talking to them in a very belittling way.
Behaving like he is a teenager when he is almost 50.

....... and being like an over excited 5 year old when it comes to any event, e.g. Christmas.
He even manages to burst my head by getting excited about the weekend, EVERY weekend ffs!
All his faux positivity doesn't work for me, I just want to put a size 10 straight through the radio .

Top Gear was great in its day, but its day had passed. Clarkson had clearly just lost interest. And they'd run out of ideas. I'm looking forward to seeing what they make of the remake. It's a hard act to follow, but maybe they'll come up trumps. I certainly can't think of anyone more likely to pull it off than Chris Evans. Anyone who can take over Terry Wogan's radio show and run with it....

It has given me a living for 45 and I have done well from selling cars. But not as well as Mr Evans has done, he is a very clever guy.

I haven't watched it since the days of William Woollard. Can't abide Clarkson, although I've enjoyed May in his other stuff. So I was hoping for something a lot less blokey. But with Evans and the rest of his line up it sounds like it's going to be just more of the same. A miss from me.

the simple fact of the matter is the self righteous like to tell the rest of us what we should be alowed to watch or do...and as usual in PC Britain they get their bloody way..

It is of course all an opinion. You may not agree.

Clarkson is all those things but he actually is very intelligent. When he puts forward some extreme view, he argues it well and most of us know he is playing to the crowd (he is a cyclist). He can make a report on a Vauxhall Vectra entertaining. It is rather beyond me that you associate him with danger.

Evans is none of these. He is just annoying. Rather like the dimmer half of Jedward. He does not put forward a case for anything, he does not ever step beyond his own world. Rather as toddlers are by nature self centred, he has not grown beyond that stage. But is that perhaps why you like him?

Car programme presenter drives fast shock!
- Clarkson to his credit tends to arse around in fast cars in non-road situations. I think others like Tiff Needell are far worse as they rather blatantly drive in road situations fast.
I am sure your boy Evans will tootle around talking about the highway code.

Clarkson was and will always be an overpaid baffoon , in my mind he destroyed top gear because of his childish spoilt boy antics

i just hope CE doesnt do the same

CE's car reviews in the Mail on Sunday mag are quite good
