Understand your frustration completely.

Now, in the same tone, TELL THEM!:ninja:

I know the manager and coaches of my sons football team get all sorts of grief from some of the parents.
I can't understand it, I'm so grateful to them to give for giving up their free time to help my son live his dream!

Definitely sounds likes like a section leader in Scouts, I had the same crap for 11 years, totally unappreciated best thing I did was call it a day, all you seem to do is provide a cheap baby sitting service, it was always the same one or two parents that would help, the rest were off quicker than a scalded cat if they thought they might have to help.
They don't see the meetings, training, first aid courses, planning, buying stuff sorting out the programme & buying the badges, giving up weekends at camp and planning the menus the kids will eat and the activities, they think it just happens like magic.

Explorer Scout leader for the last couple of decades plus.

Yes, totally understandable, but please dont resign, take a back seat, tell them to sort is out, and you simply become the facilitator

Also say you will only be doing alternate weeks from now on, it will make them realise the issues

You're not the only one I've heard this from, so many parents expect cub leaders/football coaches/club organisers to act as free babysitters and are offended to be asked to support their child's activities.

Take care of your own kids and feck the ungreatful barstewards.
