"Selling for a friend. The steerer was wrongly cut. Stem was not included when measured . The fork is basically brand new and was bought for 600. I dont know if you can remedy this. Can post or for collection."

Oh dear. That's very short. If he/she can send it to the likes of TF Tuned, RSF Suspension they should be able to replace it. That currently would need a very small frame.

He needs to buy a much smaller frame and a very, very long sear post.

Somebody on Facebook gave him the same advice, I think he was going to look into it, as he bought for £600 and was asking £150, he probably would have to spend £150-£200 to get it back to as new condition, so cheaper than selling and buying new.

That's had it. How much is a new steerer/crown/uppers assembly?

If the inner pipe was long enough you may be able to do it with JB weld.
