On the road to nowhere
I've got a 2010 Giant Revel and its time for a brake service. its got the original callipers and pads. there still looks like there is plenty of meat on the pads but I'm getting a horrible squeaking. I don't think pads have a shelf life so considered changing pad material rather than the resin pads.

any suggestions? The rotors don't have any horrible grooves or rust so I can only think the pads are to blame.

I also had a though of getting some trp spyre callipers but that means bigger rotors and probably an adapter mount?

thanks, Kev

sorted, used the tin foil scourer trick on the rotor and lightly sanded the pads and all is right with the world, now time for another thread about tyres.
