For a bit of background, I am a Security Dog Handler alongside my auto electrician work. Three years ago we lost our worlds bestest good boy, Bear after a brief but hard battle with Stomach Cancer. Since then we had no desire to own another dog ourselves and certainly hadnt been looking. Ive been handling a company owned dog for the last few months called Titan, hes a 18 month old working line german shepherd. Unfortunately, I cant post him anywhere online for contractual reasons.

On Saturday I got a panicked phone call from a colleague about a puppy that wasnt being looked after, would I be in a position to go and get it  I couldnt say no.
On Sunday we drove to Slough from Swindon to collect Blitz.

Blitz is a 11 week old black working line German Shepherd. He had lived outside since birth including through the recent freeze, was covered in urine and faeces and the breeder hadnt bothered to microchip or vaccinate him :banghead:

Now hes had a few days to settle in, his character is starting to show  Hes very cheeky, very playful but has a good drive and has the potential to make a very good working/family dog. We will spend the next 9 and a bit months just letting him be a puppy, getting the obedience and enviromentals in place then when he is a year old we can crack on with getting him trained to work/get certified.

I think "breeder" is pushing it a bit isn't it? I could think of a few other choice words to describe them!

Glad he has been rescued by someone that knows how to look after him!

Gotta love a good rescue story. Sounds like Master Blitz has landed with his bottom in the butter.

All of my companion animals have been rescues, and it's so rewarding to see them blossoming into everything that they can be in a good and loving environment.

Ive got a few ways of describing them too, Just not sure that they should be said openly  I had to be calmed down by the wife a few times, they were more interested in the money than they were the animals :cursing:

Master Blitz is and will be appropiately spoilt rotten by Mrs97 and I :becool:

Took him to work, Only the front seat will do. None of that crate nonsense just yet :laugh: (only while parked up on site - appropiately secured while moving)

I recieved word this evening that the final remaining pup was taken the same day and there is a plan to attempt to get both mum and dad too. Though we arent sure that getting mum and dad will be as simple as the pups.
