luckily he knows me well enough not to waste money on jewellery.... I don't wear any.
2 of my 3 bikes have rim brakes, but I prefer to treat them to swisstop brake pads (one has to have them due to CSS rims)... waste of good chocolate otherwise.Get some rim brakes, then use the chocolates as brake pads![]()

me sadly!Did he actually say it was a present for you? Or was it a present for the bike?![]()
and his mtb does not have squealing brakes!ahh - but he can't buy dairy free chocolate from any old service station or spar shop (and he was on his bike today) - I'm allergic to dairy products so a nice box of chocolates actually means a really nice box of chocolates, but sadly that means he actually has to think about buying themThat was a nice gesture. He could have gone into any old service station or spar corner shop and picked you up some chocolates at any time, but instead at some point in his day he thought of you, remembered your breaks and then went out of his way to go to a bike shop.
... he would have been walking passed the bike shop in Stockton Heath on his lunch time walk
.

comments have been made about it being like cycling through treacle and harder work than the touring bike or the mountain bike.... I have suggested tactfully that perhaps putting air in the road tyres and cleaning the chain once in a while would make it easier - but was sympathetic with the 'there was a stiff headwind tonight' understanding - not that I will get that tomorrow when I do twice the distance he does...
