I am 5ft 6ins tall and inside leg is 29inches , would I be better with a 50cm or a 52 Merlin Nitro Aero.
The geometry charts on the Merlin website for this model totally confuse me. Could anybody here advise me ? All advice will be gratefully received . Thanks in advance !

Give them a call...better still go sit on them

I'd think a 52cm if that's the top tube measurement (based on what my 5'6 friends ride and the fact that at 5'9.5 my bikes have 54cm TTs)? Although for a race bike you might want smaller but you need to try before spending that amount!

Looking at the geometry, the 'size' is the seat tube not top tube...based on a 52cm TT, you actually need the 47 (if it's this you're looking at)

Looks like they're all out of stock anyhow?

Yes that’s the chart I was referring to. Have you ridden the bike or as an absolute minimum spoken to Merlin about sizing
I still think you need a 47, possibly a 50 at a stretch but you need to go sit on them. The sizing links to the seat tube not top tube like other makes. Are you new to road bikes, especially race bikes?
Your link just goes to a whole list of their range. Which specific bike are you referring to?

This one is shown in 47

Thanks Vickster , very much appreciated ! I pulled the trigger on a Nitro Aero Dura Ace ex- showroom in 50 cms and you have set my mind at rest. I did email a guy ( Stephen) at Merlin ( I live in Ireland ) who assured me the 50cm would fit me but I had a few niggling doubts. I am not in the first flush of youth ( understatement) and wanted to have a last good bash at a few sportives while I still have legs . I have been saving my pennies for many a long day for this road bike. I will post a picture of it when it arrives
