England : Somerset Merry Monks and Nutty Nuns

Anyone doing either of these two events on Sunday 28 April? Both start at High Ham near Langport and take in Forde Abbey and Sherbone. The Merry Monks is 105km and the Nutty Nuns is 201km.

Definitely aiming to do one with Chuffy and a couple of friends. The 100k might be a good first audax for our tandem The cake at HQ is supposed to be legendary.

Hmmmmmm, cake, cake and more cake at the finish. I rode this event three years ago and it was truly superb. Last year, Mark and Helen suffered an awful fate when the event was subject to a terrible storm and most riders did not start. Hopefully, 2013 will not suffer such a misfortune. Best get my entry in soon.

Am sure the Exmoor Beauty will be fine Chuffy and I are booked on to the Merry Monk and will be attempting it avec tandem. I will be needing copious amounts of cake in order to cope

I'll definitely be there tomorrow, hopefully with a friend and hopefully with Chuffy, although we won't be on the tandem. He's on a longer audax today so will spare him the trauma of lugging me around
