If late I take a few minutes longer in the shower eyes shut and let the water wash it away.'

Is that a euphemism?

Last year, I had a case where a woman cut me up in her car when I was approaching a traffic queue, so I told her not to do that. At the next lights, she was behind me in the queue and sounded her horn at me, so I turned and shook my head. Further on, she was stopped at the side of the road standing next to her car shouting at me, so I stopped and had words with her (very calmly). A couple of hours later, I got an email saying that someone had posted a message on my YouTube channel. It was her! She had tracked me down there and started haranguing me on there. I replied, politely explaining a few things, and posted a video for private viewing by her and "another user", who I suspect was her under a different username. A discussion ensued, in which she posted several lies, and eventually she told me to leave her alone and stop harassing her! Fortunately, we don't keep a rabbit, otherwise I would have been worried.

I once blew a kiss at a man who shouted at me on my motorcycle, he got red and apoplectic, and ended up firing a woman I was friendly with he thought was my mother.

I've found having a camera helps you let it go. Get angry shake it off safe in the knowledge that you can upload his mug to YouTube and educate him there.

Otherwise you might end up looking like the twat.

Good job it wasn't me on the bike! I would have had a quiet chat to him with my knee on his throat!
In this situation, there are two possible outcomes:
1) you bite off more than you can chew and get a good hiding.
2) you give him a good kicking and, having been humiliated, he then takes it out on the next cyclist... and the next cyclist... and the next cyclist...

To answer the original question: discuss it with someone. There are very real psychological and physiological benefits from talking about matters that are of concern.

Really? Isn't that just retaliation by proxy? If you are going to have a pop at someone, at least have the stones to do it yourself.

Do you honestly think that, in the unlikely event of, someone seeing a video of themselves broadcast on the internet, they will be "educated"?

The more you let it be water of a ducks back to you the more irate they get at their impotence in getting to you, the more their blood pressure rises and the more they are likely to fume all day. So I see letting it go as the best way to win the battle. Let them wind you up and you have helped them achieve their objective and win. I won't give them that pleasure.

Calm is definately the way forward, young lad nearly backed into me the other day. Tapped on his window and a quick '"Did you see me" followed by "No sorry" left me just saying to him "No problem this time, but just be careful next time" and we parted on good terms. His mate was giving me daggers but as he wasnt driving, I didnt care lol

It doesn't involve the victim getting more upset, and doesn't result in violence.

I'd be more inclined to forward it to the police than just stick it on youtube, unless the police were adverse to doing anything about it - where getting it on YouTube and it going viral may make results happen a la http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-14125396 (couldn't find follow up story, but the guy ended up handing himself in to police).
