I think the problem is the most of the camera users who don't do the "sword of justice" thing quietly go along with their thing without making a fuss about it. I know 6 camera users personally & only one of them posts on youtube etc.

Well certainly some are worse than others. But even the most extreme sword of justice man I know of on YouTube has calmed down lately. Most of my footage just gets deleted, and I suspect that's true of most camera cyclists who frequently post online.

But just sampling the most popular videos, which sure generally have raised voices isn't getting a clear picture about what's going on more broadly, I don't post up just other people's errors, but also my own and that's true of the few dozen people I subscribe to on there.

The vast majority of videos aren't cyclists and motorists raving at each other, and often include cyclists saying I should have been watching out for this and riding more defensively. Frankly I think I've learned a lot from watching other people's videos, and I'm sure I'm a better cyclist because of it.

I had a cracker last night that I chose not to engage. Very close to home, went through one 'width' restrictor in primary, and approaching another - when a vectra suddenly overtakes and swerves in front of me. He then slams on and crawls through the width restriction. Of course, I'm left with no room so haul on the brakes, back end all over. Shout 'look where you are going'. Anyway he's still driving slow exiting the width restriction, so I pull out and overtake - he's there with his hand frantically trying to clear the mist off his windscreen - side windo also misted up. I shout that he should look where he is going and with a few added expletives. I gave him such a shock he stopped. I thought about it, and thought bugger it, so carried on. I think he stopped to clear his screen after that.

That is amazing! Would you look straight at them, wait for them to look away, pop them on then and when they looked back you'd be looking straight at them, but this time with the glasses? The effect that would have ... staggering

Perhaps a set kept in a jersey pocket?
I cant remember any particular incident unfortunately as this was more than about 30 years ago. It was the heyday of punk, so for a while there was a safety pin through one nostril.
Good idea about the jersey pocket, but the problem would be getting them in place quickly with gloves on and cycling glasses to take off. The answer must be to wear them all the time...
