I think the problem is the most of the camera users who don't do the "sword of justice" thing quietly go along with their thing without making a fuss about it. I know 6 camera users personally & only one of them posts on youtube etc.
Well certainly some are worse than others. But even the most extreme sword of justice man I know of on YouTube has calmed down lately. Most of my footage just gets deleted, and I suspect that's true of most camera cyclists who frequently post online.
But just sampling the most popular videos, which sure generally have raised voices isn't getting a clear picture about what's going on more broadly, I don't post up just other people's errors, but also my own and that's true of the few dozen people I subscribe to on there.
The vast majority of videos aren't cyclists and motorists raving at each other, and often include cyclists saying I should have been watching out for this and riding more defensively. Frankly I think I've learned a lot from watching other people's videos, and I'm sure I'm a better cyclist because of it.
