In 2004 the Sword Bearer of the Portsmouth Insular Order of Druids was arrested for carrying his Ceremonial Sword whilst shopping (in Wilkinsons)


He argued that he had a right to carry it as a religious artefact used for casting spells and protective circles, and the case was originally adjourned whilst the claims that ceremonial swords were exept from laws applying to offensive weapons.

Eventually the case was dropped as pursuing it was "not in the public interest", and he sword returned

its not illegal to carry a sword down the street.
- as long as its packed in a case!

Its also not a good idea to dick around with realistic looking airsoft guns whilst wearing camo gear in your flat with a big window overlooking a major road in the gun crime associated city of Nottingham.
