What's the difference between Michael Jackson and Alex Ferguson?

Ferguson will be playing Giggs in August.

All the oddnesss, the children, the scandals, the problems, sure, Michael Jackson will be remembered for that.

But 'Billy Jean' is a definitive two fingers to anyone who thinks he didn't have a supreme amount of talent.

RIP.

Well, sad news. He had become a slightly controversial figure but he like Farrah was another celeb I grew up with and I remember him well at his peak. He does leave behind a number of children (how many?) and I hope they go on to live as normal a life as possible. He joins the ranks of the immortals, Monroe, Elvis, Dean etc...

Doctors investigating the cause of Jacko's death have so far ruled out the sunshine, moonlight and good times. . .

They've blamed it on the boogie!

Slightly wrong - but very funny Snapper :laugh:

Must admit I did love Thriller and Bad as a kid and he was undoubtably supremely talented. But as many have said his later actions and behaviour will always leave an air of uncertainty and it frustrates and irritates me that the media circus on this is just ridiculous. I thought i may get a break by listening to Chris Moyles on R1 this morning, but no, MJ songs every 15 minutes!

People crying and congregating across the world just to be together? seriously? Get a bit bloody grip on reality would you!

I feel sorry for his real friends, family and his kids (maybe they have a better chance at a 'normal' life now) but it irritates me that they are making this out to be such a tragedy? why? my next door neighbour died last year at 50 by a heart attack and left a wife and two sons, people die every day, life goes on. I bet you somewhere in the world at the same time a little boy or girl died who never got a chance to live 50 years and really experience life, what is more tragic?

Maybe I got out of bed on the wrong side, cant just be me that is not devastated at the news?

Nah, not just you Wigsie. I don't think his death is a tradegy - Michael Jackson 'died' a long time ago.

Any excuse for the chief mourners to get their hankies out.

As much as I think the bloke did some great songs, he will ultimately (in my mind) be remembered for all the weird sh*t he got up to (plastic surgery, covering his kids with parachutes/hankerchiefs, kiddy-fiddling*)... but seriously, on the news this morning: "People will remember where they were when they heard the news that MJ was dead" - are you kidding me????

JFK's death started (AFAIK) that phrase (or maybe it was Bambi) and now they're using it with Jackson... please!!

* Allegedly (ahem, yeah.. right, allegedly)

Hard to say.Previous accusations put a bit of a cloud on it.

Not justifying it but he seemed to have a ****ed up life.

As Wigsie said,I have grown up with these people and I remember the Jackson 5 and even when I was a stupid kid when very young I could see his talent.

You're not alone. The biggest surprise to me is that he's gone on this long given what he's put his body through.

I had a premonition.

Well not so much a premonition as made a mental observation a week ago when there was some MJ story running and I just thought if he and the press keeps this up it won't be long before he is dead.
