Still his death is guaranteed to solve his money problems. His album sales and royalties will now go stratospheric. A lot of credit for the success of his albums has got to be down to Quincey Jones or collaboration with him.

Without a shadow of a doubt it will, the royalties from most of the radio stations across the world playing his songs all bloody day will clear it!

When I left the house this morning 'Man in the Mirror' and 'Thriller' we at 95 and 94 respectively in the music download chart, when I got into work (25 minutes later) they were at 11 and 14, along with 15 ish other tracks all in the top 100 downloads. The royalties from the next few days alone will run into absolute millions!

Did anyone see the news footage of backastage at Glastonbury last night? Lots of shocked music journos who had been sampling the local cider (and other stuff judging by their eyes) suddenly realising they would have to incorporate MJ into their Glasto reports.

Supremely talented, completely bonkers, a perfect example of the flawed genius IMO.

A 50 year old dying from a heart attack is hardly a tragedy though. It happens everyday. I suppose the difference is that MJ was known by millions whereas most of us are only known by our family and close friends so there are more people to miss him. Dying is actually a great career move for him. He'll get more radio air time than he probably ever has done.
