Don't worry, I'm back on the farm now.

You're safe to stride about in your socks n sandals unmolested :shy:

Says you..

I do wear socks n sandals on the farm in summer.
Stops my toes getting filthy, but keeps my feet cool.
Most of the farm girls I know rock a similar look :becool:

Hows the new raised sea wall going at the boat cove end ?
Didn’t get down that far. Due to the state of sea and Nearing high tide we scuttled along the sea wall to the Warren immediately from the station, didn’t go further into the town/along the sea-front or take time to look. Saved it for next time!

Nice stroll on Holkham beach in the sunshine with my wife, youngest daughter and Lexie the lurcher. Fabulous, although a bit crowded.

Fabulous! Apart from a trip to Ikea Exeter and nice pub-lunch with friends most of of our day has been motorways and rain...

We arrived in Dartmouth this afternoon for a weeks stay over Christmas, the weather has been vile today, However the forecast is much better so should be a nice week.

Mention of Dartmouth give an opportunity to mention the Dart estuary being a ria.

A ria is a submerged unglaciated river valley which forms a large estuary with lots of small inlets but no main river feeding it.

Kingsbridge, a few miles further along the coast, is a more extreme example having no river of any size flowing into its estuary.

Like the ones along the Northern Spanish coast.

With drowned trees too

That was a wet afternoons cycling.

Off to Dartmouth on a two day jaunt, early in the New Year.
