Mince pie anybody?

Been my regular snack since September when they first appeared on the shelves. I prefer bog standard rather than the posher 'brandy' soaked... they just taste off to me.

I normally have my first mince pie of the season at the Christmas market where I live. It should be this weekend but has been cancelled due to the storm.

They go well as a pudding after fried mackerel which I find needs an appropriately flavoured pudding, chocolate sponge pudding being the default the rest of the year.

I don't like Christmas, but, I do like Mince Pies, and Christmas Cake, and Christmas Pudding....

Just been talked into playing carols with the local town band as lots of them can't make the new date. I shall take my fee in mince pies.

Have the day off albeit a dental check up i the morning and a late afternoon hospital check up (or will it be early evening)
