Thanks for the replies so far! It seems that the microwaves that grill aren't that good. As for slow cookers, don't they get rid of all the goodness by cooking stuff for too long?
I do like the look of this though.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooks-Prof...F8&qid=1508848517&sr=1-16&keywords=mini+ovens Maybe it's the big price reduction i like? It has hobs on but some haven't. I've seen one for about £45 without hobs. I've seen just hobs on their own for about £25,so to get both would cost £70. I might as well buy the one in the link as opposed to having two separate things.

Another thumbs down for the micro-grill here. Used the grill function once and never bothered since.

Can't comment on mini ovens as I've got a proper one.

If you look at the size of the Pans it tells you how small the oven is single egg Frying pan... I can only reiterate our Panasonic Combo is better than our full size Gas oven and a better grill but no hob. and is a decent size. If tight for cash I would get a separate tabletop oven and hobs

We have the Panasonic and no ordinary oven. We have a gas hob and a slow cooker. The Panasonic is utterly brilliant. Does everything we need and that includes cooking Christmas for 6. The auto cook does excellent jacket potatoes (nothing like ordinary microwaved spuds). The microwave function is great too.
Would I recommend it... absolutely,yes.
Small enough for one person and yet is big enough for a large chicken with spuds round it. I cook the yorkshires separately and warm them up whilst the roast is "resting".

Hi Accy.
I too now live on my own and found it wasteful using the full sized oven when cooking just for one. I ended up buying one of those Halogen ovens for around £35. There round in shape with a glass bottom and the lid has the halogen element on it. Its absolutely brilliant for one person and is plenty big enough to cook for my needs. It uses around 1200 watts so is quite cost effective. It cooks food really well and is a doddle to keep clean.
I hope this helps matey in whatever you decide to buy.

We got this one in an emergency, we cook with it in preference to the normal Gas oven it can cook just as an oven, Grill or Microwave and then offers auto combo oven\microwave oven\microwave\grill https://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-...eywords=panasonic+microwave+combination+ovens

Obv family of 4 roasts it cannot quite cope, but this and two ring table top hob and you are sorted.

Anything that we want to cook well and evenly goes in to this, I never ever thought it would be used so much. Downside is that it is bloody expensive. Knocks out a brilliant frozen pizza in 7 minutes just tap in the weight and press turbo cook and away it goes. Same with Jacket Potatoes, normal baking is really good. First "self cleaning" oven where I have just heated it up and then wiped clean with a damp cloth. The Grill gets a bit tricky if you have cooked something that splatters with it, too close to the grill.
Why would you want a cooker that puts out frozen pizza's?

What about a halogen oven
My friend uses this instead of her main oven, says you cook almost everything in it.
+1 on the halogen oven. Although I`ve got a normal electric cooker the halogen oven is brilliant. I`ve also got a Panasonic combination microwave/fan oven which does a good job, even managed to do a few Sunday roasts with it when the kitchen was being replaced

That's the sort of thing I'm looking for too.

Microwave with grills are awful for keeping clean, hopefully those are much better :okay:

Bloody hell everywhere I go, Phone, Faceache - blogs, websites getting inundated with mini ovens/microwaves. Feel like I am being stalked by Cookers
