I love the fact that the chain and lock are of a better construction and probably cost more than the bike. Does the owner have a fear that someone might steal and fix the bike for him????

Plywood...AKA wooden composite!

Strictly speaking it is an engineered wood panel product and can be described as composite as it is glued laminates cut whole from a log but in broad terms a wooden composite would more likely be LVL, PSL, LSL and in sheet materials MDF and OSB - these reconstituted products are all manufactured from veneers, strands and fibres cut from young or waste timber. As a group they are often refered to as Plywood and Composite Wood Products.

I did post some thrilling videos in P&L of plywood manufacturing and, on the whole, these were very well received!

It's a shed. I don't get the affection people have for old middle of the range Carltons, they were nowt spesh. The worst thing about this example is the forks, the modern offset wont suit the olde worlde head angle so it will handle like sh!t.

Gosh.... some fairly forthright views emerging over something as harmless as a picture of somebody's bicycle.

I must remember never to post a picture here of anything I ride. I might never be taken seriously again....
