-8 here in Trumpton at the moment. It's going to be crisp methinks for my afternoon ride with the young in in the trailer.

-8 In Cambridge (University weather station), probably a little bit colder outside the city. Yesterday I went out because the legs insisted on it, today the brain was screaming at them to work harder to keep it warm ;-)

Actually more pleasant than I expected it to be, ice in the places I expected, ice diamonds in the light beam, slow and steady and no "Oh S**t" moments.

A tropical -3c for my ride home this morning, almost had to take a layer off

All summer I was looking forward to turning up to work not bathed in sweat, then this cold snap happens and makes the problem worse!

Not a bad ride in, actually. A few suggestions of ice in the gutters and I certainly avoided street iron where possible. Probably the coldest commute I have done, for almost a year but no slides, so all good!

Can I just say, the only problem from trying to cycle longer in this weather is waterbottles freezing up and not getting enough fluid in... But,, that's what hipflasks are for isnt it?

Forecast -3, actual 0 but already decided to take the car. Only cycled in once this week - poor form.

Kept my head down in embarrassment this morning at the train station as two other cycle commuters rode past.
