Is it really feasible to fly a 777 for 2200 miles at 450 knots below radar detection without crashing or being spotted by at least one person on the ground or in a boat and be able to land it unseen? No, thought not. That's a massive area to find something so [relatively] small.

And if your used to seeing aircraft, you'd probably pay no more attention to one more.
Has anyone gone round and asked everyone in the area that it could have flown in, "Did you see this plane?".

The US is saying now that they have 'indications' that the plane flew well into the Indian Ocean and went into the water. Apparently they are moving one of their ships, the USS Kidd, out there to start looking. Maybe they know something the rest of us don't...

I hope this is an incredibly complex set-up for April Fool's Day and everyone emerges safe and well after 2 weeks holiday on a tropical island, laughing their socks off. Anyone seen David Blane recently?

I think you'd probably remember a commercial plane flying at 450 knots below 500 feet...
