Were Nik-Nak and Mr Scaramanga the pilots?

In addition to the wing flap, it looks like they have now found an aircraft door washed up on Réunion.

The French are obviously in no hurry to get started on the investigation; "Investigators will begin work this Wednesday"! This after the part being given a Police escort to somewhere in Toulouse, and while the world waits for confirmation that the part is from MH370. It must be a French bank holiday weekend, or they are too busy burning tyres on a motorway somewhere in support of something.

I am not sure that this (even if the parts are from the flight) help.

This island is at the centre of a complex and changing pattern of ocean currents, so it is not going to be possible to trace back to a point of origin

Who, me ?
I am not sure that this (even if the parts are from the flight) help.

Except that, in the arcane world of accident investigation, it proves (if the parts are from MH370) that the aircraft is not still in one piece somewhere. Whilst I'm sure no-one after all this time thinks that it is, in the eyes of investigators, it will always remain a possibility until conclusively proved otherwise.

Still a long way to go with this.
