That's a nice area, although as you get a bit further towards town you've got Astley Bridge and Tonge.

Yes, I thought it was a nice area. Maybe that estate was in the two areas you mention 🤔😉
Living in a rural area, we had a mobile shop into the mid 1990s when the guy who did it gave it up after needing his hip replacement. He had a bay window VW. He had been doing it since 1947. He also owned our local shop, which his wife still runs in her '80s (she was about 20 years younger than him).
He was a real-life Arkwright, always trying to add things on to bill, or persuading people to buy things they didn't need. He used to scratch the best before fates off with a coin!
Many years ago, he was actually ambushed and robbed at knife point at a very narrow bridge. They took his stock of cigarettes and whatever money he had.
