Ha ha, know what you mean about the climb police. Would have been nice to do it in a single stint, but given I'm in no danger of pushing Iban Mayo's record of 55mins odd, I felt I might as well include a cafe stop into proceedings, what with it being a Sunday n'all!

Nowt wrong with that!

Hi, if I could re-open the Ventox discussion....just to get an idea of the best time of year to tackle it, I'm happy(ish) to endure some wind and some blistering heat, I'm not into the idea of snow!, so does that narrow it down to 3 weeks in June??
Any advice is welcome. Thanks, Dave

I did it in mid-June and it was 33 deg C at the bottom and nil wind at the top. Lap of the gods isn't it, but June till September would clearly give you the best chance of decent weather.

You never know what you are going to get with Ventoux. When I went in the middle of July this year, it was 25 degrees at the bottom and only 5 degrees at the top and blowing a gale. I only climbed the first 8 kms but was enough for me. Did you buy the Mont Ventoux Jersey? Well done for your ride in those conditions.
