took it for a 30 min spin today.....just about got up a monster hill on it...which also proves the knees are getting happier. Very smooth, but the brake blocks are shite, need to replace those
In one of the very early photos (page one or two of the thread) the front nearside brake block looks as if it is at an odd angle - you did 'toe' that in didn't you?
Fair enough, agree with you that the blocks look bob basic and that some newer compound would give better stopping power. I've some Clarks pads on mine that seem quite grippy for the price.
My fixed braking got a whole lot better (despite having the same flexy weinmann calipers as you) when I replaced the blocks with koolstop dual compound pads.
