When I originally replied, 'last night' wasn't in the post. Pretty sure of it.

I at first posted the question on the end of my previous post where I put the date, on this thread no editing .....so far

Why not on a sunday ? the roads were quiet, dry and moonlit.

Some people, poor things, have to work during the week. A sleepless night on the bike is probably not the best preparation for starting the new week, especially as most will have to get back home before working.

Where I was riding was so quiet I didn't need lights for a lot of the time I was out for, the moon lit the lanes and path and tracks enough .I do need a dynamo though.

Fair point, it was just for a couple of hours, back by 11 and in bed about the usual time.

Only for 5 miles coming back from a friend's house, but still enough to enjoy the moonlight.

Just as well. The (70%) moon set before 1am this morning (Helston, Cornwall). I think this site gives the best ephemeral info.
