By the time the CCTV operator has been given the word the tea leaves have hopped it.

Or maybe the CCTV operators are on the pay of the moped gangs!

Somebody will be along soon to say it is only kids having fun.

Lack of resources I think may be the problem.

I'm rarely one to say things were better in the old days, but honestly, moped gangs? Have they no pride?

Moped theft has rocketed and it is almost impossible to insure a moped in some parts of London.

It is impossible to catch them as they cover their faces and drive down pavements.

Unless it is used in the bus lane, speed cam, red light camera, police cam and so on. Then they are very good.

  13. Oh yeah, they have got my arse in a bus lane .... two days running. But when my handbag was stolen from a Knightsbridge pub on new years eve, all I got was a victim support phone call.

Surely those applications use ANPR rather than some poor did peering at a fuzzy screen trying to make out details.

*That should read "sod" not "did". Smartphone too smart for its own good.
