Bit ridiculous I'm sure but then again that K-Edge for you

Ahh yeah RAM, that's the name I were looking for.

A decent mount on the saddle post will allow you to get the rear wheel in the picture. The k-edge mounts are some of the best around for the GoPro's. CNCed alu with perfect fitting. The £30 sony mount. PAH! £30 for some crappy plastic, no thanks.

If you want a really decent mounting system for a bicycle. Get a RAM system. Possible to mount it to anything with the correct parts.

Not sure how long that ratchet system will last on our roads, you must know how bad they are ;) As for the width of the mounting section, that has to be a joke, look how wide it is. That is going to take up most bar real estate! Take aside that the K-edge is for GoPro only. £10 more for a CNCed piece of alu which has a narrow mounting section and is as solid as can be. I know which I would choose.

In any case, as I pointed out in my previous post, a RAM system is much more flexible in terms of positions, angles and possibilities than any other mounts available on the market. It also won't take up as much space if you choose to mount it on the handlebars.

Does the RAM mount move side to side? If so, you could even mount it under the stem.

I've used some Klickfast kit docks to create a QR mounting system for the GoPro.
Male stub bonded to self adhesive flat mount:

Female dock zip-tied to helmet through vents

Female dock pop-riveted to hydration pack for rear view.

Chest harness made from the display box mount, again riveted to a slotted backing, then attached using a covert equipment harness

Thanks for the advice guys.

It's not that I am completely against the idea of a helmet camera, but more that I would rather it be discreet, than sticking off of the top of my head!

The guy in the BBC link had it discreetly on the side of his head - is that easily achievable?

This is my ghetto mounted 808 camera (30 quid from eBay 720p 30fps)

I keep meaning to put it in an old innertube, but I keep stubbornly no having any punctures!

Bloody hell, i was just about to buy one of these online, not to sure now.

I'm not really bothered by how it looks. If I really cared about how I look on the bike, I wouldn't be wearing lycra ;)
