Nearly all first world countries would impose a custodial sentence for a fatal road accident where the driver carries no licence or insurance plus failing to render any assistance and failing to stop. If you look at it, this guy has ticked all the boxes and there cannot be a more severe violation of a traffic law.

So when does an errant motorist actually land in jail in Ireland?

When they have insulted the Church/blasphemed?

Has the killer been remanded into custody or is he on the loose? If he's wandering free he's most likely to escape the fine and possibly jail by making his way over here and disappearing, along with the other million illegals..
