The FIA have tried to introduce a bit of chance by specifying a minimum of two tyre stops, but I still expect a procession between those stops. There's a chance that one of the back marker teams (Ferrari?) could stop on laps 1 & 2 and then run the hard tyres to the end to make things interesting.

I'll be at Snetterton for the BTCC which should be slightlly more interesting.

So will it be a slow paced procession race around the principality streets all will it be a good race?

The F1 qualifying is the fascination as the race is generally predictable. Next year there will be 22 cars attempting to qualify at Monaco !!
The pit stop saga hopefully will provide interest in the race , but being F1 sometimes a shunt can alter the monotony of the procession and change the running order. Ferrari are useless in the slow corners this year so they will find it hard work I would love to see F1 tearing around the streets of Monaco, its apparently something to behold up close and sadly I never went there in person . My money is on Max

There was one good one, the year Olivier Panis won

Yeah , it rained ! I remember thinking Damon Hill was going to win when he led for a while until he spun it away. A very memorable race

Alex Dunne in F2 is a guy to watch this year. I hope he makes it all the way to F1

His father (Noel) was no mean pedaller of Formula Fords either.
On a similar theme, it was only a couple of years ago that I realised that Alex Albon was the son of Nigel Albon, ex BTCC privateer from the 1990s

More useless information, while the Monaco race has an impressive (given the circuit) 102mph average lap speed, the Indy 500 is on later in the day and has an average lap speed of more than double that at 227mph.
