Do you do them, are they fun? I'm lazy so the orienteering thing worries me!

I've only done one, last year, and it was an excellent day.

OP have a look in the informal rides bit. There's everything from the pootle to Yalding mentioned by musa to a London to Winchester and back which will be around 200 miles.

If I can find a spare weekend I'll probably run my London - Rye and back ride which I think found almost every hill between London and Rye.
