I can't stand any of the Mr Kipling stuff - all way too sweet and flavourless.

Packaged food makers are just finding ways of bunging the cheapest ingredients into their product (which mostly turns out to be fat and sugar) and tarting it up with some flavouring.
Home made cakes are fantastic. Even the rather hit and miss ones the kids bring home from food tec (cooking to you and me) are far better than anything "Mr Kipling" (actually the multinational Premier Foods who were recently fined £16,000 for violating health laws for having a dead mouse in their products).
Making a cake really only takes ten minutes to do and tastes of cake. Delia cakes are fairly foolproof.
Best Kipling cake? May as well ask us what is the best branch of Halfords!
