I like Skol

A Minging Manc...
I just don't get it. Sure, they look a bit cool and different but I can't think of many advantages of a fat bike over a decent rigid or hardtail MTB. In fact the potential disadvantages far outweigh any possible positives. Apart from cruising the Californian beaches or a bit of Yorkshire bog trotting I reckon they will struggle to match a more traditional MTB.

I agree with @I like Skol. They will only ever be fun in very unusual conditions that we will hardly ever encounter. A decent hardtail will run rings around them the rest of the time.

I run my HT tyres at 15 psi or less. It's really not a willy waving contest though @screenman

if you have the money to buy one in the first place you also have the time and money to fly out to Sweden, Norway or Finland with it!

I have the money to buy one but I definitely don't have the time to fly out to Sweden every time I fancy a ride.
