I think these were a post-bankruptcy Muddy Fox. Prior to the late 90s Muddy Fox specialised in mountain bikes, and were quite well regarded. They were acquired by Universal Cycles in 2000 or so, and now the name is used for a budget range of bikes of all types.

The Blade model was selling for £175 in Tesco in 2011 - https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/muddy-fox-blade.73729/

A "Muddy Fox" was at one time almost the generic name for a mountain bike, same as "Hoover" was for a vacuum cleaner.

.....indeed, Muddy Fox were a brand name of some worth back in the day....... but no more it seems......... what a shame.
Back in the late eighties when I figured a mountain bike was the 'must have' new beastie, a Muddy Fox was what I lusted after, but events dictated that I settle for a Peugeot - oh well, never mind.

Go back a bit further though, and I was the proud owner of a Raleigh Chopper (circa '71 as I recall), difficult to describe how it felt being the only kid at school with such a prize machine..........guess you win some and you lose some eh :okay: .........

I think I'm correct in saying that the Muddy Fox brand has been bought over by Mike Ashleigh and Sports Direct. The bike clothing seem really good vfm.
i bought my son a pair of mf cycling shoes and, for £22, are very good value. rare at that price point to find a shoe compatible with proper road cleats as well as spd…

You get what you pay for, I bought a cycling jersey for about a tenner and it's total rubbish, wouldn't wipe my @rse with it. Another brand that Mike Ashley has bought and made sh1te.

Still, I suppose Rangers were already sh1te before...
